Now that we’ve reached the end of another financial year, just a short note to let you know what you can expect in relation to your Affluence Fund Investment, and when.
While we don’t yet know the final results for the month of June, we expect the Affluence Investment Fund to have exceeded all our performance targets for the financial year ended June 2016. During that same period, the Australian stock market and many large super funds have delivered virtually no returns.
Because of this level of outperformance, we will pay a higher distribution than normal for the month of June. The distribution rate for June will be 0.85 cents per unit, or twice the normal monthly rate. This distribution is expected to be paid on 11 July. For those of you reinvesting distributions, you will receive your reinvestment notification late in July as usual.
The end of financial year is a busy time for us. In addition to determining and paying the final year-end distribution for the Fund, we also complete tax calculations and finalise tax statements for Investors. We will also be busy preparing the final Fund accounts and arranging to have them audited.
Because the Affluence Fund invests with many investment funds and managers, our year-end processes rely on each of those managers to provide us with accurate data so we can complete our calculations. This can take some period of time and means our normal monthly processes tend to take a little longer in July than in other months.
